New MOMO Gear Shifter ****
I just got my new MOMO gear shifter **** for my 2003 is300. The only thing I wish I could do, is cut the bar supporting the **** down. It would be better if it was like an inch or so shorter. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? It seems fairly easy, I would need to cut the top, and then have it re-threaded. Thanks for any help. Here are a few pictures.

Gear Shifter Bar
I plan in the near future to take the chrome support bar to a machine shop and see if they can cut it shorter and re-thread the bar.
Basically, I need to know if the chrome support bar unscrews directly from the transmission plate? Thanks!

You didn't like either the chrome or leather ***** that the IS300 comes from the factory with?
I've always felt that the chrome ball shifter and the chronograph gauges are what really makes this car.

I have almost that same shifter ****. I had it on a previous car & took it off before i traded it in for the IS.
I also like the look of the ball & still not sure if i want to change it. I have a manual tranny ....... did anyone replace the ball on a 5 sp. tranny that has pics?
