Did you get it fixed?
I am having a similiar issue with my Lexus IS300. I am getting codes P1349, P1656, and the stumper, P1300. Im pretty sure it is my oil control valve, however Im not sure why im getting a P1300. Will be buying a new one tomorrow and just hoping that is the fix.

Mitsuguy i believe ur correct due to the problem only being there after about 30 mins of driving the car im guessing the igniter is plastic. So itll expand the plastic after that time and the sparks start grounding.
About p1349 can it be resolved with Some cleaning?

Yea I am hoping the P1349 and P1656 has something to do with the OCV, because Ive ordered the part. Last week I pulled out the OCV and the OCV filter. They both looked clean, which is a good sign. Im thinking its the solonoid that was unplugged. Hoping the OCV being unplugged prompted the ECU to send out a P1300 to shut the car down. Maybe due to faulty timing... However everthing from what Im reading definitely says ECU or ignitors. I'll install the OCV, drive it for forty five minutes, and Im expecting I'll still have the P1300. I'll just tear more of the car apart after that. I'll keep this thread updated.

Alright, I replaced the OCV this weekend. The car drove for two hours perfectly. However on my way home it sputtered twice, and the engine cut out. The Trac light and check engine light came back on. Im not sure of the codes yet, going to grab a code reader tonight. Im guessing a P1300 once again. Im hoping nothing for OCV or VVTi.

Hey sheldon im still having the issue also. I removed the ocv and it looked clean but i cleaned it very well and also the filter was a little dirty but after doing this there has been no improvement. My coil pack are also new. This week my friend which is a mechanic is going to come and fix it. Post here in a week in case i forget to get back at you.

Ocv
Awesome, keep me posted how that goes. I replaced my OCV and its still having the issue. I think its the ignitor coil grounding out after it gets to proper temperature. Im taking it in, done with trying to fix it myself.
