Default plz help my heater is killing me

so here is my issue ,lets say I want to set my heater temp at 72 , its blows super hot and temp doesn't change until I turn it down to lo, but when I do that it turns cold there is no in between temp control at all , not sure what this can be I know its not thermostat, cause then it would always be hot. I called lexus and they aren't willing to help me over the phone they want my money

Have you ever removed the panel under your steering wheel? If so, there is a blue plug by the driver's right knee. Of course, you can only see it if you remove the panel/swing it down, There should only be a couple screws holding it in. If it's not plugged in, it will seem like your air-mix servo isn't working.

ok yea i will check i havnt taken it off so im not sure but thankyou and ill let you know if this was the problem

If that isn't it, there is probably a problem with your air-mix servo.

Is the air mix servo, a common problem and can i fix it myself ?
