New to this forum but not to Lexus. I've had a Lexus is300 in past and have an 02 Lexus is300 5 speed w55 manual with 69k on it and a 1992 sc300 with 154k auto tranny. Looking for feedback on anything really guys and gals. Can't wait to check out other build threads looks like everyone knows what their doing and that's what I like to see. Ima put up a couple of pictures of my IS300. I would love some feedback. Thanks guys

they are 19x8.5 +25 with a 215/35/19 and 19x10 +35 with 225/40/19.

I'm thinking of purchasing a Lexus IS300 from a family member. This family member is meticulous about vehicle maintenance. So, I am wondering what are some common problems associated with Lexus IS models of this generation? I know of the "melting dash" problem, but what other kinds of things are people running into?

Local IS300 I haven't had a problem with melting dash. I usually put up windshield cover so it doesn't though! I've never ran into problems... Unless you turbo it hahahaha

The only issue I’ve had is with the noisy air conditioning servo’s. It’s not super expensive to replace them and ClubLexus has a few threads on how to do it!

I really like the white rims on the blue, very sharp looking!

i see you are in the arear of simpsonville, i live about 10 min away from where you took your pic near the clock tower. very nice looking IS brother. ive seen a good video on youtube on replacing the servo i need to do the same, my heat sucks on the driver side. Local Lexus dealer told me a little over $600 to fix it. OEM parts on EBay arent to expensive, and from what i understand its behind the glove box but is pretty tight back there.
