Recently purchased an is300 and coming for a dsm the radio install appears to be much different. I had the app radio in the dsm but now taking it out to put it in the IS300. I have ordered the schosche double din kit and it fits it perfectly. I also ordered the metra tyt-01 just waiting for it to arrive. Before I try to tackle this job I wanted to make sure I knew exactly how to do go about doing it. I've searched throughout the forum and seen about one or two guys try to install the app radio 1. From the information I gathered I seen that I need a rca splitter since the app radio 1 (SPH-DA02) only has 1 set of rca outputs. Is that essential? And I have an 2002 is300 so the metra harness should just be a plug and play correct?
