Default car won't move at all. even in nuetral.

Hello,

was wondering if anyone had some input the issue I am having with my e-shift 02 is300. As the title states, it won't roll at all, even in neutral. When i put the car in drive, it won't roll forward like it should, and to move forward I have to hit the gas, and it makes this terrible metal on metal rotational noise, and barely moves at all. I've checked the brake system, rear diff, and can't seem to figure out what it would be. I'm guessing it has something to do with the transmission or the driveshaft. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sounds to me like your emergency brake is binding up. If you are able to take the rear rotors off and check it out.

thanks for the response, what am i exactly looking for? Also, i tried to see if the e brake would engage and disengage, seems to be working fine. Also, the back left spins in neutral, with the e brake disengaged.

Sounds like a caliper problem. Sticking brake caliper causing it to do what it is. If you floor it hard enough itll move but you need to fix it quick.

Default Transmission

2002 Lexus RX300: Car will not move in Drive, will not move in reverse and will not move in neutral. It will at times move in drive but will not pass 5mph before the whole car begins to shake. Im just wondering is this a Transmission issue or an ABS issue or something entirely different. Would really appreciate some help

Check/replace your brake booster. Mine went bad, couldn't move the car at all since all brakes locaked up. Changed out the master and calipers, no luck......changed the booster, everything worked.
