Factory alarm goes off randomly
My wife has a 05 Is300 and 2 nights ago the alarm went off while it was sitting in the garage. I went to see what was going on and made sure all the doors were shut and locked it. It went off a total of 3 times that night. Yesterday morning drive to work get out go inside and it goes off again. At lunch I went and replaced the batteries in both keys. When i got home last night I pulled in the garage locked it and 30 seconds later it was going off again. Then this morning I got to work made it inside and it was already going off. I went and sat in the car, locked it with the remote, and then opened the door to see if the alarm would go off and it did not? Any ideas?

Let's avoid the idea the alarm brain itself is bad ($$$$) and check the cheap stuff. Does the dome light stay on, or not come on, or do anything otherwise out of the ordinary?
The alarm must arm itself for at least 45 seconds before it will go off. You need to roll the drivers window down, lock the doors (arm it) and go inside for 5 minutes. Come back out, reach through the window and open the car door from the inside. Does the alarm go off?

Just went out and opened each door and the dome light works on all of them. I rolled the window down and locked it, waited for at least 5 minutes or more. Then opened the door from the inside and the alarm did not go off.

Not the best result, but most door latch circuits are dual trigger so it could still be a bad door pin. How about the trunk? You have an indicator when it is left open and the key is off?
You're in knox?

I just went and opened the trunk and then started the car. The door a jar light was not on. The light in the trunk was on with the trunk open. I did notice that after turning the car off before i open the door the security light is already flashing.

If not you may have a bad trunk latch pin.
There is NOTHING between Chattanooga and Murf or I'd meet and try to figure it out.
