IS300 vs IS250
I have a IS250 (I know its a lot slower than the IS350), but my question is have any of you IS300 owners raced a IS250 stock vs stock? I believe the numbers say the IS300 should win (Correct me if I'm wrong), but some people in the 2IS forum say they have beat IS300s. And if so is it a big or small difference?

i've raced a couple, and beat them. off line they get the a slight jump cause of AWD but i start pulling around 45mph. and a freeway race from 65mph was my IS300 all the way. i think one problem they might have is not having complete control of which gear they are in like in a manual or a e-shift model IS300. i think if you threw a good turbo in a 250AWD you would have something very good to drive in a straight line and around a corner. but if you have RWD take it back and get an AWD or find an IS300. thats just my opinion.

The IS250AWD should not be able to win due to the added weight of the car, in addition to the extra power loss having to drive 4 wheels versus 2. The
IS300 should win without any trouble.

This would be great if the motor was an inline motor but it is a V6. If this were to happen it would have to be twin turbo or some crazya** turbo manifold.

The problem with creating a turbo for the IS 250-350 is that we have both Port Injection AND Direct Injection (which kicks in at WOT) so even if you figure out a way to replace our patented head design for lower compression, you'll need to figure out how to set up a dual stage ecu or something.
With that said, Blits has a Supercharger for the 250 and Tom's and LMS has a supercharger for the 350.
Hopefully there will be a few more coming through
- Edit
I'd never drag race my car knowing full well I have only 200 HP and 3,600 lb+

We do have a RWD version of the 250 also.

I hear ya about the RWD version as well but it is still a heavy car (100
lbs more at least than my IS300 that is only missing navigation) and the car is only rated at 204HP compared to the IS300's 215HP. This is not a huge power difference but it is still in favor of the 300. I love both cars, was even thinking about getting rid of my 300 for a newer model.
As far as the turbo goes that is a given but if you turbo the IS300 you will still be better off.
