Default first thing i noticed when I bought my IS300

i looked up and thought I was in my Cressida...



btw, my ceiling is grey, but for some reaon the sun made the picture look tan. anyway...toyota pulling from the parts bin for thier luxury brand?

I must agree with you that this is what the case is most probably. you've compared a 12 year old cressida. Let me say this that, on the 1995 tercel, the gear shift **** on a manual transmission is 100% the same **** as 1969 Corona has ! talk about use of parts bin by toyota !!

It's not unusual. Many Lexus models still use the exact same buttons for your power door lock and window switches that are also used in other Toyotas. From the low models Tercel & Echo to the flagship model Cressida & Avalon. Even the LS400 in the past shared the same brake pedal cover used from the Camry.

wow the buttons and the plastic cover over the lights on the 90 cressida and all look brand new. odd for a car that age.

Haha, that's hilarious. I've found that my SC300 steering wheel and gauge cluster is very similar to my mom's '02 Toyota Sienna van, 9 years apart. The steering wheel is also almost the same as a 91 MR2's wheel also.
