Default stock vs modded in rwhp

Hey guys, I got my car dyno tested at the clublexus meet. 175 rwhp at 6000 rpms and 175 torque at 4200 rpms. I have modded my car with a catback exhaust (similar to greddy's), megan racing ss downpipe, and bomz racing intake. I am curious though as to what the stock IS300's get for hp and torque so I can compare the two. Thanks.

If you are auto, it sounds like you picked up 10 or so whp, but, was the dyno SAE corrected or actual, and if it is actual, what altitude did you get it dynoed at? What kind of dyno also? Was it humid? There are a lot of considerations when comparing dyno #'s

Then yeah, sounds about 10whp, not too shabby, I wouldn't be suprised if you picked up another 10 with some afc tuning.

Default downpipe

Hey, nahh, it's actually a good buy. gives a deeper, throatier sound while freeing up hp. check out megan racing is300 downpipe. Is that bad or something?

Downpipes are only on turbos. N/A has header and then racepipe or midpipe.

Maybe I am wrong.

Default afc tuning?

what's up with AFC tuning? I reset the ECU today before my dyno since i didn't do it when i got my intake and exhaust stuff. is that what you mean by AFC tuning? Also, on another note does the stuff you can get on ebay really do what it claims it can do, groundwires or the performance chips. Thanks.

A good rule of thumb is that if you buy a performance part of ebay it is probably a scam. Just research before you buy things there. Some can be good, but the things you list are not.

AFC refers to Air Fuel Computer or Controller. It is the way you tune a car. When you get intake, header, etc. that adds more air to the engine mixture, so you need to add more fuel to maximize your gains. That is why you need a S-AFC or whatever you choose.

Thanks Turbo'd_Wxman. Well, maybe it is a midpipe on there, but it fits and works...the floorboards rumble a bit. Also, on the exhaust for the IS300, i got the one pipe for the catback, the one mid/downpipe, but i still have a pipe in between that looks like a muffler or resonator. could you clear me up on what that is cause i'm not sure if i got stiffed on my PRO1 (basically an OEM greddy) catback system by only getting one pipe. Thanks.

a cat-back exhaust would do what it says, go from the catalytic converter al the way to the bumper, or in your case, from your megan racing midpipe thing back. the middle section is usually called a B-pipe, not 100% sure, but I think most cat-back systems for the IS300 are 2 pieces, the B-pipe and the axle-back portion.
