Free gas from Special Service Campaign
Just had this completed and got a free tank of gas. Was not expecting free fill up. Is this normal for a SSC? Glad one of the requirements for this service was to have my gas tank below 1/4 tank. First noticed I needed this done by logging onto the Lexus drivers website, safety, and then listed under Special Service Campaign and not recall. Couple weeks later received a notice in the mail. Here is the description on my work order yesterday:
DESCRIPTION: REPLACE FUEL TANK RING ASSEMBLY ~|~CERTAIN 2016 MODEL YEAR RX450H VEHICLES FUEL TANK RING REPLACEMENT ~|~FUEL FLOAT LEVEL OBSTRUCTED ~|~4460 GLE CGG35A 170 PERFORMED GLE REPLACED FUEL PUMP GASKET AND CLOCKING RING

No, I don't play soccer!
go3Ds, I moved your thread to the hybrid forum because this service campaign only affects 450hs built before April 2016 IIRC. My SA showed it to me even though my RXh was not included.
Yes, Lexus typically fills the gas tank and washes the vehicle for service campaigns. It's for the inconvenience. I don't have the details in front of me but I think the repair required the tank to be empty. It takes less than two hours. That's enough time to sit back and enjoy the food they usually have set up.
