Did they scan for codes and not find any related to the braking? Not all codes will turn on the check engine light.

Thank you Smassey321, Long story why I didn't use them, I live in Roseville and I used the dealership that I bought my first RX300 at which was the Sac dealer on Fulton Avenue. Did your car have codes? Or did you just complain about the noise ?

What type of chirping noise should I be listening for? Does this relate to the vehicle surging/lunging forward when in gear at a stop when the gas engine starts or stop?
Can only Lexus fix it or can the Toyota dealer do it?

The chirping is when at a dead stop, and you are holding the brake pedal down. The surging/lunging is another issue that I recall, but you will have to do a search....

I did not have mine changed and currently don't get any noises. I re-red the PDF and it specifically mentions lights (but has no details) so I may be wasting your time. Sorry about that. I would be surprised if they did not take care of you. Good luck.

Thank goodness for this "recall." I bought our 07 Rx four years ago at 80K miles and the brake actuator always made a chirping sound…kind of like the sound of a sea lion's bark. It didn't bother me enough to replace the $2K actuator so we just lived with it. However, my wife has had an issue with increasing frequency recently. The car will lurch forward or backwards after placing the car in gear with the brake pressed. It's as if the brakes do not have enough power to prevent the car from motion. Luckily, she's quick enough to throw more pressure to the brake pedal and put the car back into Park. I'm going to beat that this is an issue with the actuator.
At first, I was disappointed when I saw the secondary coverage stating, "10 years or 150K miles, whichever comes first," since the car just hit 152,300. Then I was delighted when I saw the primary coverage is good until 12/31/17 regardless of mileage…I'm covered. I will call my local dealership to see if they have the parts in hand for replacement. I'm guessing they'll be flushing the brake fluid as well.

Ok I called Lexus of AMerica, they are supposed to connect me with somebody in the next two days. You know there was a TSB in 2007 for the noises, and if the TSB didn't work the actuator assembly was replaced under warranty. Cross your fingers....Did anyone get theirs replaced without the lights being on??????

Well they called back, still fighting with them. They said they would have to speak to service manager at Lexus of Sacramento. They asked If I would pay for replacement with some assistance. I said no, since I felt the actuator fell under the extended warranty. If I were to do that there would be no way of recovering the money as than there would be no failure indications and my extended warranty would end. Uggggggggggggggggggggggg.

what broke the camel's back for my car was when they were doing an alignment.. I think on the Techstream there's a YAW control / Steering reset.. I forget what it was exactly, but it calibrates something. I am not sure why that "caused" the lights to show up, but it did..
