Can someone take a pic or explain the OEM battery tie down?

Default Can someone take a pic or explain the OEM battery tie down?

I bought our 07 Rx400h used with a group 24R battery. After replacing it with the proper sized 51R, I realized that there weren't any battery tie down parts. I ran over to Pepboys and bought an adjustable battery tie down kit with 2 J-hook bolts, 1 rubber battery strap, 2 plastic washers, and 2 wing nuts. I noticed there was a hole underneath the battery base towards the interior of the engine bay, but there appears to be no hole on the other side (close to the passenger side headlight). I ended up hooking the bolt underneath a harness tie down, but I'm not satisfied with that. There was also a horizontal bolt that I could hook onto as well. Something tells me Toyota designed a one-hook battery tie down…don't tell me it was to save on weight

Oh man, just replaced my battery. The tie down goes from the cross frame above the headlight, and heads down to a rectangle support piece that goes around the top of the battery. That piece has a rod to the hole on the engine side of the battery. It is a very specialized tie down. After market will not do. go here for picture of holddown, $20 for the right part.

Thanks Thomas1. I'm missing the insulator box as well. I'm hoping the tie down frame and the J-hook is all I need. The aftermarket kit I bought was only $5 and seems to be doing a good enough job, I've tried rocking the battery back and forth to simulate turning, braking, and hitting sudden bumps. I can afford $20 to feel more confident. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure that my 2006 RX400h doesn't have the battery insulator either.

Very similar to the ES300. The metal clamp sub-assembly about $20.46, the J hook for the rear $7.33, the front bolt $.78, the rear nut with washer $1.32
