Default Do the backup camera parking gridlines in your vehicle move?

Hi all,

I had a question. In your 2013-2014 GS450h, do your parking gridlines move as you turn the steering wheel while in reverse (for backing up)?

I never thought this was possible on this car until I watched this video recently:

Was this possibly an update that was made? I always though the gridlines were "fixed" as I read in many reviews of this vehicle. Any info would be helpful.

No movement in my car. Just straight lines. I'll verify in a few minutes when I back out of my driveway. This may only be in non-N.A. spec vehicles.

Nope not offered, that was probably in Europe or Japan as they get the goodies and we get shafted.

I'm from Singapore & I got that on my GS250 F Sport. It's very useful as the lines will project where the car's tail will turn to.

Thank you for the responses moose66 & bigblack06. Based on the way the individual in the video is speaking English, I does appear it's a foreign car and it's probably a feature in non-N.A. markets. It certainly blows that we don't get such features in North America.

ronfsp - you're lucky to have this feature in your car!

I know that they introduced it in the 2015 IS, so I was a bit disappointed knowing the GS doesn't have it. Hopefully they do allow for it through some software update in the future (gotta stay hopeful!).

Thanks again all,

The video shows a European spec vehicle. The backup grid lines in the 2014 US spec GS450h are fixed. I would expect to see dynamic grid lines, based on steering angle in the 2015 GS450h for the US, but not confirmed. As noted, I believe this functionality has been introduced in the IS.
