Congrats! That's the exact configuration and color combo I've been investigating. But nothing like it in stock in the North East. I may have to special order.

Can I ask, was that price for an in stock vehicle or did you special order? The dealer's I've spoken to around here will only give a really minimal break (e.g. $1K) on a special order.

Jeff

I know that I already said this one, but congrats again maem2501!!

Welcome to the 4G GS Hybrid family! Would love to see some pictures of your 2015 F-Sport when you have a chance.

There only seems to be a select few 4G hybrid owners on the forums, so I would love to see your car and hear your opinions are you put on some miles.

All the best,

Missing a few stuff that I would like to get from the LS,(I downgrade from a LS460L) like the soft closing doors, Mark levinson is better on the LS, sound is a little cheap and seat with a little more comfort and space

May I ask how long you had your vehicle on order? I had one on order for over 90 days with Lexus of El Cajon California. I waited over 90 days, only to find out that the bozos at that dealership didn't order any of the options that I had specified, so I cancelled the order, and reordered one in late October from another dealer.
I know that these are build to order items, and I'm hoping to get some perspective on the actual wait time (which the dealer states is "60 to 120 days")

Thanks for the quick response!
I just received notification from the dealer, Lexus of Escondido (a wonderful place to do business, in the northern part of San Diego county) that my car will arrive in the port of Los Angeles on January 2nd, and should be at the dealer by the middle of the following week. Life is good, and about to get better.

Still that price is highly competitive, if you see what other brands are selling in that size. still a gs hybrid will lose 20-10% each year in 5 years, but you don't have to add it on top for maintenance like on other so called "premium" cars, which most of aren't premium at all.
And still there are not so many other hybrid premium cars out there.

that is true but its not cost effective at all compared to the gasoline version. You are talking nearly a $17,000 difference in price. In order to make up that $17,000 by conserving fuel, it would take the average driver well over 10 years just to break even. Then the savings will begin.

So if your not planning on keeping your 450h for a long long long time, its a sucker buy. And its only 0.2 seconds faster to 60 in the hybrid. Yes the headlights look cool but just doesn't make sense to lease one or have it for 5 years or so. Your wasting your money.

But to each his own

It's not just the 0-60 or the fuel savings though.

The GS450h is a lot more pleasing to drive in stop and go traffic and on the highway as the torque from the electric motor is immediate, making merging, overtaking and just cruising a lot more effortless.

So basically the day to day daily driver experience should be less stressful and effortless in the hybrid. The only time it may lose out is on the winding mountain roads and track due to the increased weight of the hybrid batteries and drivetrain.
