Popping a question since I bought my 2008 used a year ago. When the hybrid battery is low, then the ICE kicks on fairly aggressively to charge up the battery, and it feels like it is high idling. The vibrations are fairly strong and you can feel uncomfortable when holding the steering wheel.

Of course the ICE kicking in is expected, but the high idle/rpm vibrations? Normal?

Mine kicks in aggressively but does not vibrate the steering wheel. It does clunk the shifter once in a while. It is really annoying when it happens while you are trying to slowly back out of a parking space.

No vibration on ours either.

Maybe the torque engine mount on the passenger side of engine is broken. It is located on top by the brake reservoir.

07, no vibration nor clunking. Revs seem of normal range.
