Hi all,

I am new to this forum, and have recently purchased a 2006 RX400H with 72Kmi and am now shopping for an extended warranty plan. I have done some research and it looks like the best extended warranty plan available is the Lexus Extra Care. http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...verview_unsclf

Used Lexus vehicles, within current plus 9 model years old, and subject to certain mileage limits, qualify for Platinum coverage.

Ineligible vehicles include emergency vehicles, salvage vehicles and those used for hire to public, plowing snow, competitive driving or racing. For further details contact your Lexus dealer.


So my question is how much are you guys paying for your plans? I was given a quote from a couple of local Lexus dealerships here in Arizona and they all are around $3500 for a 3yr. 36Kmi Platinum plan.

Sorry in advance if this topic has already been posted before. If it has, can someone send me a link to the discussions as I have searched and can not find anything on this. Also, would be interested if someone knows of a particular Lexus dealership that is selling these plans the cheapest..

Consider this coverage if your vehicle is within current plus 9
model years old and has less than 125,000 total vehicle miles.
These plans are available through your Lexus dealer only at the
time of used vehicle purchase.

According to this that was on the site you gave you can only buy this when you purchase the vehicle. Have you checked to see if you can buy it "after" you bought the vehicle?

Yes, I just spoke to the finance manager and I can still buy the Lexus extra care warranty even though It is a few days after purchase.

I had great luck with my Lexus warranty. 4 years ago it was $2700 and I got over $10,000 in repairs out of it. I bought my RX used and out of warranty from an Infinity dealer. I then got the Lexus warranty from a Lexus dealer in Louisana (I live in FL). PM me if you want their contact info.
