Before I bought my ever-so-slightly used (and certified) 2010 RX 450h in mid-November, I had been planning to wait for the new, smaller Lexus hybrid crossover, reportedly due out later this year. I'd originally been looking for a vehicle with the utility of our '07 V-6 RAV4 and the gas mileage of our '12 Camry hybrid. But the certified RX 450h (which we've christened Alexus) had less than 15,000 miles on it, there wasn't another one like it at any other dealer in the greater SF Bay Area and it was just too good a deal to pass up. We love the car, but I'm still following news reports of the baby Lexus crossover
with the imminent delivery date. It looks like this car will be the hybrid RAV4 that Toyota for some reason has yet to bring to market.
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one just to see how it drives and rides
. My guess it that if it's based on the RAV4, it'll still ride like, which is what drove me out of our RAV after six-plus years of ownership.
