Fuel Consumption Screen
I just took delivery of a 2014 RX450h. The fuel consumption screen shows the miles per gallon data in one minute increments.
Before I ask my question let me share with everyone that I have experience with two Toyota Prius vehicles. The 2006, which I just traded in, showed fuel MPG in 5 minute increments. The 2012 Prius Plug-in provides a choice of either 5 minute or 1 minute increments.
Hence, my question is can the Lexus RX450h somehow toggle between 1 minute and 5 minute intervals? My dealer, after checking with Lexus said no. But I have heard that before only to find out later a different answer. So, I am coming here to ask the Lexus community of users if they know something different.
Thanks for any response.
Cheers

Im afraid they are in 1 minute increments, which make sense to me personally. A lot of driving happens in 5 minutes and having only one bar to represent a 5 minute interval seems lie it would not be as helpful

Thanks for your comment. It's interesting that what we are accustomed to we tend to feel comfortable with and therefore defend. I "grew up" on a 2006 Prius which had 5 minute increments. To me, one minute increments don't provide any sort of averaging to give the driver a sense of how he/she is doing. When I look at a one minute increment I see all sorts of ups and downs with no real sense of knowing how I am doing over all. I guess I will get used to it as you have. Hope you understand my point of view too. It's all good. Thanks again.
