RX450h vs RX400h
Few things I've noticed about the 450h in comparison to the 400h.
1. The 450 isn't as fast as the 400. I was a little disappointed. I planned to drag race this against a Q5 3.2 I'm almost certain the 450h would lose. Kidding, but this doesn't feel like 295 hp at all.
2. More refined hybrid system. The transition between EV and ICE is so seamless I can't tell what's happening unless I'm looking at a graph. The 400h, you would feel a little bump sometimes when pulling off from a traffic light. Also the regenerative braking seems stronger and I'm constantly getting full charge the batteries. With the 400h unless I'm going down a long hill I would never see full bars.
3. The AFS is more active but yet doesn't seem to bend as far the it's predecessor
4. Gas mileage seems to be the same. I could achieve 30mpg in both vehicles relatively easily but now we pay for 93 oct.
5. Trailer hitch effect still exist on highway. Braking is still inconsistent I'm hit my BMW pulling right behind it when the brakes gave a slight delay. If I had hit I would be on the phone to Toyota claiming unintended acceleration (Jk)
6. Ride is much improved. Still not sporty but not as soft as the previous gen. Body roll and nose dive is something I don't miss.
