Just put a deposit down on an '06 400H
Supposed to pull the trigger and buy it tomorrow from a private seller.
2006 80,000 Miles ($18,000) - every option, right color combo etc.
Seller purchased it certified, Lexus are showing until 100K or another 18mo's or so (on the Hybrid stuff) - Dealership couldn't confirm if it was transferrable. Called Lexus USA who said it 'probably is' transferrable but would need to call another department (who are closed).
So after research I'm reading different information - Are there variables here? If it was sold through one dealership would it be different to another dealership?
Is it worth the risk on this year/mileage?
The car is fantastic and in great shape, would like to pull the trigger but hesitant until I know more warranty info and any feedback from you guys.
Thanks in advanced. JC

The warranty is:
48 mo/50k mi bumper to bumper
72 mo/70k mi powertrain
96 mo/100k mi hybrid system (including inverter)
It follows the car based on original purchase date, so it still applies to new owners if you're within the above mileage and timeframes.
That's a great price! I would also consider an 07-08 if you can find a good deal, since the nav screen was significantly upgraded and the stereo plays DVDs and MP3 CDs.

Thanks, I guess I'll wait to talk to Lexus directly...it is such a good price I'm having a hard time passing it up, however I think the warranty may be a deal breaker. Thanks

dont let the warranty make it a deal breaker, the car has proven to be quite reliable. Just make sure all recalls have been done, the inverter one in particular.
