Default Heated Seats

Is it just me or are the heated seats not very "hot"?

My heated seats in the 450h are nothing in terms of "heat" compared to the ones on my 330.

Agreed. The heated seats in my 2006 LS 430 are not nearly has hot as my daughters 2004 RX 330. I am planning on asking the dealership at my 50K scheduled maintenance.

Nope, mine are just fine. I actually set it at 2.5, as 3 gets a little too hot.
My IS has an earlier model of heated seats with no heat adjustment. They do not get very hot and they're not consistent in terms of heat. However, they're still much better in terms of comfort than scorching seats I had on another non-Toyota vehicle.

I agree that my 2013 RX450h seats don't get as hot as my 2006 RX400h did. My 2006 could scorch your rear end if one wasn't careful turning it up too high for too long. ...but like vlad_a, I am OK with the temperature that my 2013 achieves.

I usually find around "2" just fine for me, only use "3" if I have a chill but not continuously as it gets a bit too much for me. My wife uses "3" all the time, but she has a long thick coat so the heater has to work it's way through her coat before she feels it.

I never have it above 2 and like 1.5 my wife and I will play the game were you turn the others up every now and then and 3 will get you hot very fast.

I just get the feeling, no pun intended, the lawyers were involved in the settings as the 330 would get hot

Default Heated Seats

I'm with the camp that says the seats don't get all that hot. I had a 2004 RX330 prior to my 2013 RX350 and loved how warm they got. I talked with the dealer about it, and my service rep told me that it's because of the change in technology that is now being used. In the newer model, they are blowing hot air -- vs. using heated coils in the seats. So much for progress.

that is weird, I find that the seats get too hot in the third setting. Also the seats get warm fast. Because they must be sourcing and making these the same way, it must be a human element.

The seats in the 450h get toasty but not hot. The heated seats in my LX 570 are much warmer. The seats in my mercedes E320 get scorching hot!

I have to agree with RXSF. The seats get way too hot in the third setting.

I have been quite happy with the heated seats, gets as hot as my 2005 RX 330 but has the cooler settings also. The heat does seem to be in a slightly different area, so it might seem less hot.
