I finally took the plunge. After looking at 400's I just could not justify selling my 330 and buying a 400 just for the hybrid feature.

After looking at 450h and driving a few I was hooked. Now I have a 2010.

Driving back from the dealer I recorded 6.5 litres/100km or 36 miles per US gallon.

A far cry from the 13.7 litres/100km or 17 miles per US gallon on with 330 on the way to the dealer.

I took our 450h in for the 5000 service earlier this week. When they finished, the Service Advisor asked me if we were still happy with our decision to go with this car over a 350. After careful consideration, I couldn't come up with a single negative that might make us less than 100% pleased. All I could think of is the things we like MORE about the hybrid, so I shared those items with him instead. We think the hybrid is better and more fun to drive than our earlier 350, even without considering the improved mileage!

BTW - There was nothing to "fix" on our car. All they did was inspections, tire rotation, and personalization! Pretty cool!

Congrats dug320. I made the same upgrade a few years ago and it's quite a change. Don't get me wrong, I loved the 330, mediocre gas mileage and all. Now I'm enjoying the 450h - the way it looks, the nice little toys, and yes the better MPG.

Congratulations and welcome. You will love your 3rd generation 450h. We never had a hybrid before purchasing ours, and they have far exceeded our expectations. Hybrids are lots of fun and especially a nice size Lexus with all the quality features. Many things to learn about the 450h, so read the manuals.

I am thoroughly enjoying the drive. I will not miss from my 330 for the hesitation, I called it the rubber band being wound up effect, when you gave it the gas or it's inability to figure out if it was to be in 2nd or 3rd gear at 40km/h/24mph.

I do miss the ride on the 330 as it was not as hard feeling as this 450.

New to the forum. Just purchased my first hybrid, 07 GS450H w 60k mi. Lovin it so far. Considered the GS350 first because I was a little intimidated about the Hybrid technology.
