USAA Insurance Company named the best value cars in all categories. The Lexus RX450h was named best in the mid sized luxury SUV class. As it happens they're my insurance company, and it's what I drive . For us that use them, 'MY' is literal. The stockholders are the insured and we get dividend checks base on how good their year was

The other thing relevant is USAA is considered to be the best overall Insurance Company in the U.S. Sadly the 450h was the only Lexus they named.

If you're a U S Citizen with a credit and driving record that are stellar and you have no felonies you can contact them to see if they'll consider you. My understanding is they've cracked the door open a bit, not entirely but a bit. They are wholly owned by the insured and well run. We (insured) get dividend checks that can be cashed or applied toward premiums. Just depends on the year preceding and how well they've done as to amount of check.

I was completely expecting my annual insurance to go up when upgrading from a Ford Explorer to a RX450h, but to my surprise, I received a refund cheque as my insurance (Intact) said similar things about the rating of this Lexus in particular.

I love my USAA and love my 2011 RX450h. Will be looking to see what is new for 2014 but don't expect there will be much. I do like that base ball glove leather color.

Love USAA. We traded in our GX 470, 2006 for the 2013 RX450H and I was kinda surprised that our insurance went up about $36 a year with them. I would have thought it woud have gone down a little bit. The only side benefit is we got a dividend check last month for around $65 so maybe it all comes out in the wash.
