The Fuel Consumption Graph Game
Wondering how many other RX450H drivers, like me, have turned the fuel consumption bar graph into a competition with your spouse or other driver(s)? Our game is to see who can get the most consecutive 60+ mpg graphs in normal driving, i.e. not just circling the Target parking lot using only the traction motor.
Prior to the image below, my all time best was 8 straight 60+ mpg bars... My wife claims she got 11 straight once but failed to take a picture as proof.
However, those scores pale in comparison to my results from a trip this weekend.
Alright, alright, so I might have cheated slightly... the trip in question was from the Johnson Tunnel which spans the continental divide at 11,000ish feet to the outskirts of Denver; about a 5,500 foot loss over 40 or so miles, some of it at 4 - 6 % downhill grades. However, the record stands even with that minor asterisk. I thought the picture was worth sharing so I made my wife snap it while I celebrated the "all time high score".

Good job. But I don't use that graph too much. I like the other one that shows over a year averaging 30+mpg

V1VrV2,
Constantly showing up one's wife up can lead to unintended consequences
Nice graph just the same
Cruiter,
No photo, then it doesn't exist

David, if you're going to call my bluff you lose, and the graph goes back to Jan 2011. As you can also see, mileage since last fill up is 30.7. And there's the Fuelly app. If I can't get what I post, I won't claim I did. Just so you know

Of course I know that And I could and have in the past provided a graph like yours as well. I can fill up at the local QT and drive all the way home on battery (about 3 miles) at night when no traffic and get the same graph .
Jim,
Very impressive. And you know to take some, note I said some, of my posts with a grain of salt.

I don't know why the graph doesn't go over 60.
