Hello All,

We have just purchased a 2006 RX400H, and obviously the gps screen/software is the low resolution. I wanted to find out whether the data displayed such as trip information, maintenance, etc can be updated to look like how they look in 2007 and newer RX's? Thanks!

I don't think so, different hardware, and the DVDs are not compatible with different gen systems. I tried a Gen 6 DVD in my Gen 5 nav and it didn't work at all.

a screen change would be difficult but the software wouldn't be made for a smaller resolution. You would have to completely remove the entire nav system and replace with the new rx system

As progress improves everything, so have the NAV systems become much better. You're pretty much stuck with what was available for your model year. That's not what you want to hear but you've still got a nice functional unit.

Nope. As stated above, the updates only update map data. If you want new screens and/or better resolution you'll need a newer system.
