Question So who's waiting on the GS 450h?

Thought I'd start a thread to see who is waiting to purchase or is seriously considering it. My father seems rather intrigued so we will see how that goes.

I'm personally drained the F-sport GS 450h can be had in Europe but not here. That said to think a car in this class this well done getting 31 MPG average and maybe even higher depending on circumstances is really mind blowing.

I am - but like you I was bummed the GS 450h F Sport isn't going to make it here.

I'm probably going to wait 6 months and see the prices and if there are any rumors on a GS-F or another refresh on the engine.

I'm also a little hesitant though, looking at the resale values of the current GS 450h they don't seem to hold their value very strongly.

I was actually over the fence between new GS hybrid or ES hybrid (if they do make one). Decision was made instantly after I saw the leaked ES image today...
I'm getting GS450h for sure !!

This may be petty, but the biggest issue I have with the 450h is the lack of tail pipes. I think that's one of the best visual features of the back of the new 4GS and to have them missing makes the back look much more generic Toyota IMO. Otherwise would buy the care as soon as it comes out...

I was intrested and same as you decided not to get it becuase they wont have an F-Sport GS 450h, I mean why would they choose to have one place an not America there biggest sales. I guess I'll wait tell the GS-F comes out or they decide to make a GS 450h F-Sport. I also agree with the missing tailpipes, I understand they wanted to show the green effect but keep that with the prius not the Luxury brand IMO.

Dropped by the Lexus dealership Sunday to look at the 4GS again and saw a 3GS 450h beside one of the new models. I was surprised to see the 3GS hybrid version has tailpipes! Wonder why they made the change? Agree with you, bigblack06, I'd buy an F-sport 450h on the spot if they brought it to America as most all of my driving is city--so while I like a sporty car, I don't mind to save a little on gas if that was possible at the same time.

Once again to give the new GS450 h the full "Green" effect....

The mufflers & tips are there.... They are just nicely tucked away.. The elimnated the exhaust diffusers attached to the bumper.

The Mufflers use what we call a "turndown" tip, found on most cars..

Wow that looks fugly without the tailpipe, whats with the plastic lower part at least they could have made it a full bumper and I probably wouldnt have complained, as much

It's really not that bad. If you really wanted to, you can just order the rear valance and exhaust bezels of the GS 350 and swap exhaust canisters.

You know you really make a good point, you think I could put the F-Sport front bumper on a GS 450h, I figure I will need to make a cut for the foglights.

Anyone have any new news on the Hybrid or anything to share? Most of it has been covered but I haven't found any new pricing, packages, etc.

I've been thinking about selling my 2IS before the 3IS is announced but I'm also still interested in the new GS 450h.

Drove the 450h in Japan at a Toyota event, It's what made me fall in love with the GS. I have an F-sport rwd and would have went hybrid if it was out now mostly because of the couple of extra pages in the navi.

I personally don't care for hybrids in general yet. They just feel different to me, it has really nice power though only half way on the peddle.
