Brakes Grabbing?

Brakes Grabbing?
I just bought a CPO 2010 RX 450h. I noticed that I can hear the brakes grab a little in parking situations. It's mostly the rear brakes, but you can hear the front too. Of course, during this time, the engine is off and the car is just running on battery. It's very quiet. Does anyone else notice sounds from the brakes?

While I don't have my RX450h yet, I have owned a RX400h since 2006. The greatest learning item for me coming into the hybrid was learning the very different sounds the car makes at acceleration and braking. There was, and is, no physical "grab" when I push on the brakes -- only the sound difference. I agree with InRBigness, if it's only a sound you are questioning, you're likely not having a problem, just needing to get used to the new environment.

Like others have said, it's all new to you. Much of the systems that used to use vacuum or were hydraulic or now electric and feel or sound somewhat different. It's an all new world but a better one in this car. Won't be long and you'll be preaching it's virtues .

the sound you are hearing are the floating calipers, which are adjusting to the forward and reversing motion you are subjecting the car when in parking situations. It will happen every time you change directions and is completely normal.
