It seemed like they were actually scared to replace the transmission fluid?
Which Lexus dealer in NSW?
Lexus Sydney City should be able to do it for you.

Lets see what they mean by "lifetime fluid" as I have 176k on my 07 model so far. I have seen other GS450h cars go over 210k so far

it can be perfectly done at home with a jack stand, it needs indeed a lift in order to fully empty, after that make sure you use only the original toyota/lexus CVT oil, even same grade of other brands will lead to problems. I replace mine every 45.000 miles just to be sure everything is fine, I do it together with the diff. The diff is identical to any other rwd car, just need a long tube to fill as the fillerhole is located on a very unpleasant location

There is a metal film filter on the inside of the cvt gearbox and it doesn't need replacement it's a lifetime filter, same with the fuel filter that is in the fuel tank it's magnetized so metal partials just glue to it. Life span of the cvt gearbox is far longer then the lifetime of your car 500.000 miles or more without any issues :-)

You are nuts to suggest "You pour 75-90 in the engine and you will get a good visual on compression physics."
