I see in this post in the SC Models forum that a Gen 5 DVD worked for the SC owner on a Gen 4 NAV system...

I have a Gen 5 NAV DVD (gifted to me) and own a 2006 RX400h (Gen 4 system). Can I really screw up the system if I put in a Gen 5 DVD and it doesn't work as it did for the SC owner? Can any Gen 4 RX owners attest that a Gen 5 DVD works in the RX models as it appears to in the SC models?

It looks like it works... my Menu in my Nav system now says that I have version 10.1 maps and the system has updated with maps in new developments that weren't on my 7.1 version... just an FYI for those who may find deals on Gen 5 Nav DVDs but have a Gen 4 system like me...

rondinelle, glad ur 10.1 works! do u still have that "i agree" button to press after using a gen5 disc? i heard there is a new 11.1 map around, i heard gen5 have the i agree removed.... i wonder if it will work for gen4 systems if we run a gen5 disc... what do u think?

I had a Gen 5 Nav disc in my '08 IS250, 10.1 and just upgraded to 11.1, I don't have the "I Agree" at all!!

Neither do I. Just put the newest disk in my 2007 400h.

The I agree was removed about 3 versions ago on the gen 5 systems

oh.... since all of you have a GEN5 system, i guess the "i agree" is gone only for u guys.... >:-< im still stuck with that annoying "i agree" on GEN4 system... BUT, the 11.1 disc for GEN5 works on GEN4.... i guess some features (like the i agree removal) is only compatible with GEN5... but my map is updated to 11.1...
