Default 2008 GSh price: CPO, 37k miles, $37.5k?

In negotiations with a dealer now. It's in opaline and light gray. Loaded with all but APSSS. Super clean. (I've looked at 10-15 GS's in the last 3 months and this has got to be the cleanest yet. Even smells new.)

Most services are documented. However, there's no records from 19k to 34k miles. The dealer did the 30k service at 34k miles (likely for CPO).

The market value for the car is about $35k and they are asking $37.5 before TTL.

Any tips on how to proceed? How fair is the price? Sales have been slow this month apparently. TIA

Update: The car suffered some hail damage from the recent storm. The dealer said they would repair it back to spec, but would this be another reason for dropping the price?

Are you from th east coast or the west coast out of the country, Cause the price I think can vary based on weather!

how long has the dealer had the car? if they have been sitting on it a while, you should be able to take down that asking price since there may not be many people in the market for that car in your area... you can also try to use the 'missing' service as part of a leveage tool, even though it may not be much...

if market is 35k, start there... i'd even try to lowball maybe 35 OTD

So it's a Texas car. It's been on the market less than 1 week.

Listing price $41k. I offered $36.5 OTD and they countered with $37.5+TTL, and I've been sitting on it for a day.

Hoping month's end will make them come down more. Is my max of $38k OTD reasonable?

Update: The car suffered some hail damage from the recent storm. The dealer said they would repair it back to spec, but would this be another reason for dropping the price?

In that case I think thats a great deal as it is worth $41K if you were on the east coast than yeah, you could have tried to lower and probably got it becuase of it being RWD but that price CPO, right is a good price I think.

With low inventory, high gas, its hard to get a great deal now but that seems pretty decent.
