What attracted you to the GSh?
Lots of new members so curious what brought you to the worlds first RWD hybrid luxury sport sedan.
For me it was a couple of things. Previous Lexus experience and also the fact it was faster than my previous 400 and current 430 but with better MPG. I wanted something "different" and techy. I felt this car was the future when it debuted years ago.
I also LOVE the fact I rarely see another one, maybe 2 or 3 a year.

My reasons echo pretty much what has been said already. We purchased our first Lexus back in 2001, a brand new 2002 IS300 (my first new car ever) and have been hooked on the brand since. A few years later, we picked up a loaded used white GS4, and it turned out to be another great trouble free car.
Last year when it was time to replace the GS4, we went looking for a CPO AWD GS350 (they don’t sell RWD’s in our region). Basically, our only requirement was that it had navigation, since our 07 IS350 came with Navigation/Bluetooth, it became a “must have”.
Anyway, we found a 07 GFM GS350, black interior, with 25,000 miles and navigation. The dealer was asking 33,000 for it which seemed reasonable. As luck would have it, sitting right next to the GFM, was a 07 MM 450h with ash interior, loaded up with every option including ML, radar cruise, active suspension, etc. The car only had 11,000 miles, didn’t sit like a 4x4 ala the AWD 350, and the dealer was only asking 36,000 for the car. So, after some research and a test drive, I was sold on the hybrid tech and have been smiling ever since.
Having lived with the car for awhile now, I still love the hybrid system and don’t find the CVT as objectionable as I thought I would. The car handles great, body roll is almost non-existent in the corners, probably due to the active-suspension system. The ride is a bit harsher than are old GS4, but it also doesn’t ‘float’ like the older model, which is good.
The trunk space, of course, is a major negative, but we knew that going in. The overall interior design is very nice, in an understated classy sort of way. I will say the seats were probably better in the 2GS, I’m not sure what it is about them, they don’t hug you like the IS-F’s seats, and they’re not as comfortable as our old IS350’s. The only other things would be the dash material is nicer in the IS, and I’m not sure I like the wood steering wheel, but that’s just a personal preference.
