Default Blue/Green Battery Symbol

What is the significance of the battery symbol on the Energy Monitor Screen turning from blue to green? Most of the time it is blue. Does green mean it is fully charged? Thanks.

Green means it has a higher charge, nothing wrong with it. Ours usually turns green if were going stop light to stop light or coasting down a long hill. It will turn back and drop a bar or two and return to blue color when driving at a constant speed. Also if you are idle with the A/C on and the gas engine isn't running you'll noticed the battery drain fast and it will drop down to the last couple of bars and turn purple, at that time the gas engine will turn back on to recharge the battery.

Toyota discovered that keeping the battery between 20 and 80 percent charge is best for it's longevity. You may find that you rarely see green (unless as someone stated, you can coast down a long hill, or race stoplight to stoplight so the gas engine is always running).

I've wondered if anyone offers an ecu reflash to get the batteries to throw more amperage the wheels for better performance. Of course it would be at the expense of battery charge but I rarely get down that far.

Hey Jeff, might be an interesting trade off.
