whats your mpg on RX450h?

Lee, great mileage but most of us that have discovered the battery only run under 40mph have done that.
Try this for just over 100 miles. At one point it was a several tenths higher but this was at my destination. It even included a couple of full throttle squirts along the way to light up the after burners while passing on country roads . I will concede I filled up along the way so the engine was already warm. Outside temps were in mid/low 80's and most of the way was on state roads around 60-65 mph. Tires started off cold at 32psi and were probably around 36psi for most of the trip.

That was obviously electric only. In ECO on a trip we did hit 33 as well. Really happy with the 450H. Was a 2010 CPO but only had 11,500 miles when bought in Feb. so hope to enjoy for many years now as I head into retirement in July.

Well, I'm still not there, I got 25.1mpg on the last fill up... I bumped up the tire pressure to 40psi hot, using premium fuel, on eco mode. The wife adds the most of the miles on the car now.

If you use 32 or 33 cold, the tires will warm to 36-38 after driving. 40 psi cold will cause premature wear in the centers. The trick is learning to drive with a soft throttle and a lot of coasting to a lite you know you'll have to stop at anyway. If you only drive short 3-5 mile trips you won't get the best mileage.

I was consistently averaging ~25 mpg for the two years I have owned the RXh. Then just this month, I am consistently returning ~27-28 mpg. The only difference is that I turned on ECO mode and am consistently using it, but I think it has to do with the summer fuel blend that we must be getting.

2.5 tanks into a 2013 RX450h and driving SoCal mountains, city and highways I am getting just over 30mpg on my current tank and average of 27.9 with under 1000 miles on the odometer.

My mileage varies from one tank to the next. During the winter months I was getting between 25 to 26mpg. Now that summer is upon us my mileage has increased to 28mpg on average. I have also been utilizing my ECO mode more lately.

I've only put 100 miles on my RXh and am already impressed with the gas mileage I'm getting. This was from yesterday driving to NYC, very hot day so the AC was on the whole time. Our other car is a CT200h which we've been getting 46MPG actual (manually calculated, the computer is usually 1.5 to 2MPG optimistic). I haven't calculated the RXh yet since it's still the first tank. The fuel gauge needle barely moved after 100 miles. I just hope the low gas warning light doesn't come on way too early like it does on the CTh.

Congratulations, it looks as if you've mastered the art of Hybrid driving on both of your cars .

. Agree, gotta change driving habits. My other car is a 2011 TSX. Fun to drive, but I drive it more conservative now too. Get 26/36 on it. However my wife tends to start/stop more aggressive and local mpg drops by 2-3 mpg. So driving habits do affect it. Mpg on my RX 450 28-32 these days. A/C affects it. At 33 psi on tires. Michelin. Always in Eco mode. In fact my wife when driving it first time thought something was wrong. Hit the gas and not as peppy as her TSX. If she drove the RX I'm sure I'd see mpg drop by 2-3 mpg. Anyway love the RX. My lazy boy on wheels.

we just picked up a rx450h out of state and drove it back home 1000 miles. It averaged about 28.5mpg and we were doing a steady 80mph on the highway.
for the last week back home we're about 33mpg based on the onboard computer. I noticed the on board computer vs the actual calculation is off by about 1-2mpg.
great mpg so far and great for long road trips!
