whats your mpg on RX450h?

No, I don't play soccer!
Maybe you'e driving with the parking brake on, LOL! Seriously, so many factors influence MPG, it's a matter of figuring out what may be the cause - gas brand/octane, driving styles, length of trips, etc. - alone or in combination. Don't worry it'll get better.

Traded the CT200h for this, gas mileage difference is a bit drastic.
CT200h - MPG rating 42, we averaged 39-40 - 7% loss
Prius - MPG rating 46, we averaged 42 - 9% loss
RX450h - MPG rating 30, we averaged 18 - 40% loss
I will bump up the tire pressure to 36 and try again... Btw, it's an AWD, I expected better, but I'll give it a little more time.

I've been a little disappointed to the MPGs as well, we average about 25 overall (AWD model as well).
I can get 30ish if I drive carefully and keep an eye on the mpgs. Driving it like a normal car, we range from about 22 up to 29. Lowest average we've ever gotten is 18, and that was in the dead of winter. Depends a lot on the driver, trip distance, and how much you run the AC and heat.
Do you have Eco Mode on? I've found with the lead-footed other driver in my family that it typically saves 3 or 4 mpgs.
If you're averaging 18, I'd say that would be worth a trip to the dealer.

There should be improvement around the 5K mark if you haven't reached it yet. Hard to believe but it's true. My tires are around 35 psi and I manage to get close to 29 MPG during a 9 mile city commute with hills. Only about half of it consists of flat road. Eco mode is on too. I see yours is not based on the picture. Try turning it on and give it a tank or two. Good luck.

Allen, you're one of those cases where I'd love to ride around as the invisible back seat rider just to see the conditions and difference in driving style. Then drive it myself to see what if any difference there is between yours and mine.
Since you've had two hybrids previous I can only presume you know the appropriate way to drive the 'h'. Now that summers here again, I'm above 31mpg average. I live with some hills, do city and hwy both. When I see a red light coming up, I start slowing early and accelerate slower than I used to. It may take a 'mind set' for you to do it w/o thinking about it.
Good luck.

First dealer supplied tank, AWD, 20.9mpg. No eco mode, leadfoot wife as main driver, 50-50 city/hwy. Second tank showing over 24mpg with eco mode on, so we'll see.

No, I drive like Grandpa with ECO mode on.
I now get 30.3 mpg. I noticed on the consumption graph, my fuel efficiency has steadily increased since my purchased the car in February.
The secret? I cannot pin point why as there are so many variables. I know that trips under 10 minutes are killers on fuel economy. Longer trips, the hotter the engine, the better fuel economy. Wet roads tend to take off 1+ mpg. Fast starts are another contributor to low fuel economy.
I don't usually use the air conditioner, but I suspect as it is electric powered the mpg penalty may not be as great as the belt powered unit.
On the highway I drive 70+ mph and in the city I don't want to fund the city more than my taxes so I drive the speed limit.

2013 RX450h mpg
I have been averaging 30-32 with my AWD. I live in hills and make several short trips a week. It gets better on long trips. I always keep ECO mode on and don't drive over 70 on the highway (usually). I just got the vehicle in late April so I haven't seen what the winter will do to my MPG yet.
