Went on a road trip keep the speed under 75mph but had filled the car up with regular gas and paid a price for it . For 262 mile trip on the interstate the mpg was down to 23.03. I did have the car serviced at a Lexus dealer the day before and they check or set the tire air pressure to 34psi. I reset the air pressure to 36psi and filled back up with mid grade and the mpg went back up to 27.48 but keep the speed under 70 mph most all the trip set cruse control at 68mph and the car showing air pressure of 40psi with the tires hot .

I've only had the car for a couple of weeks, and both tanks so far are between 30 and 32 mpg. I do 90% city driving to and from work (avg about 13 mile commute) and Chicago traffic sucks.

You say that like its a bad thing
To set the record straight, your stereotypical grandma drives annoyingly slow because she can't see or hear very well anymore, has the reaction time equivalent to a big bag of weed, and is set in her ways and doesn't give a damn about young whippersnappers anymore.
A high mpg hybrid driver drives annoyingly slow because he is driving PRECISELY, with anticipation of changing conditions, carefully monitoring data from the information displays, being in tune with the function and performance of his vehicle, while continuously suppressing the emotional baggage of needing to be first to the next red traffic light.
The level of skill required to achieve greatness is not unlike that of a NASCAR driver, but whereas one is a suitable spectator sport worthy of dreams, stories, and envy amplified with the help of a foamy beverage, sadly, the other receives no such recognition.

Tonight I got on GA 400 in Sandy Springs to come home from a meeting. Behind me on the ramp was a car making a 'lot' of noise with his exhaust and weaving back and forth trying to figure a way to pass me. I was going the speed limit. He finally got around after I got on 400 and in an engine revving blast of noisy exhaust the Honda Civic with a well tuned engine blasted into the night. The hwy had quite a bit of traffic but was moving at the speed limit of 65mph. I could hear him several cars up down shifting and up-shifting, changing lanes and in general playing like he was at Road Atlanta. When I got off 24 miles up the road and traveling the speed limit most of the way, he was just two cars in front of me and my gauge since fill up was setting at 32.4 . I never went below the speed limit except for a short distance when everyone had to. I wonder what his mileage was . And I traveled most of the way in one lane and stress free and for a ways with the cruise on.

Heh, lucky you... Summer is back in Phoenix so my mileage has dropped again (as predicted). I know many say that mileage should increase with warmer temps... But now on my second summer with my 450h I am confident that as soon as the temps go up and the AC comes on my MPGs suffer for it.
Was AVG 28 during fall -> Spring. Back to 25ish with the summer 100 degree weather. Same as last year.

My overall average is 25.1 from March until now in Atlanta. Hoping the warmer weather will continue to improve things. Would like that number to be much closer to 30.

Recent mpg on 2010 RX 450H
Recently averaging over 29 mpg in mixed driving. Recent trip mainly highway got close to 33mpg. So very pleased. I drive alot different though than I ever did before. Not like granny, but a lot more conservative. And with today's gas prices I'm in no hurry to get from point a to point b.
