450H in the winter
I was driving my 450h on hiway 400 after a snow squall. I would consider the roads pretty good, given any front wheel drive vehicle, just a bit of patches of snow/slush here and there. Had winter tires and was on Snow mode. Was constantly on the edge of fishtailing. It did fishtail on me once but i think it corrected itself, but not before veering into an empty lane next to me...for sure if it was any other car, i would have done a 360 or veered into another object. Adjusted driving several times, but could still feel the slippage from the rear. Was 2 hours of white knuckle, sweaty palms driving coming back from snowboarding. After than experience I think i'm going to mothball the car for the winter.

i see you are located in ontario. are you allowed to use chains or studded snow tires? if yes, that would be a good excuse to get them. you'll have better traction for sure, should prevent any fishtailing.

We had quite a bit a snow these days and my GS450h was doing pretty well! Although it usually is struggling with traction when standing start.
I drove my brother's Audi A8 4.2 quattro in the snow and it was a different world.... but no problems at all with my GS. TRC works perfect, but I never ever tried SNOW mode.... (simply forgot it)

which is why at the first sniff of ice or snow, my 450h is parked in my garage (but then I have summer tires on, so that's another reason i park it).
