Default Sun Roof not closing properly

Has anyone experienced this? The Sun Roof on my 2006 RX400h is not closing automatically. It closes and then rebounds open. I have to feather it manually to get it close. If I can't find an easy solution, I'll get them to look at it when next I bring it in for service, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Try resetting it--it's in the manual but I believe you either hold the tilt open switch open for a count of 3 or the slider switch open for a count of 3, and it resets the auto close and open settings. That's also true for the power windows if they lose their auto function.

Where in the manual and what page can you find this? My moonroof recently is behaving oddly. It's getting on my nerves because I want to wash my car but I'm afraid I didn't close it properly.

Are you sure it's on page 171? Because I checked today, and it was something about the seat belts. I didn't see anything about the moonroof.

I verified that it is on page 171 yesterday since our RX was having the same problem after the dealer replaced the roof rack due to rattling. We tried both buttons as recommended, however only the tilt method worked in resetting it for us.

Hold the tilt button (rear side), and the moonroof will tilt up, down, then open and close...then release the button. Should be reset after that.

Wow, we must have different manuals then. I flipped through the manual like literally 10times and page 171 does not have the moonroof instructions. I guess I'll try your abridged version of resetting the moonroof. Thanks

Oh I see, well I checked numerous times and on the hard copy of the manual I have ('06 RXh manual) pg.171 is about seatbelts and chair. Anyways I tried resetting by what you told me and it worked. Thanks!

Look in your index for Moonroof. I also looked at the online to find the page I cited.
