Hybrid prices increasing?
Here in Los Angeles where we do tons of stop and go driving and gas is up around $5/gallon, hybrids are in very high demand. Priuses don't last for more than a day on lots and discounts are unheard of. With the recent dramatic increase in gas prices, many of them are actually selling at a premium.
I just got my 450h last month and was shocked to find that I could actually get a substantial amount of money off MSRP. Do you think this trend will change? Has it already begun to?
I know just telling people that I get 24mpg isn't an overly impressive number that screams fuel efficient, but considering that in the same driving with my M5 I got between 7-8mpg over 12,000 miles, it's pretty impressive.

Gotta hand it to the Japanese auto mfg'rs they were preparing for this 20 years ago and now they're cleaning up. Like the 1970's all over again, the American auto mfg'rs are struggling to catch up - some people just don't learn their lesson.
