Default OEM Runflat wear with APSSS

Has anyone had any experience with the tire wear on their cars with the APSSS roll-control system?

I've been running the stock Bridgestone Turanza ER33 runflats on my car for about 20K (and yes, I know they have a poor wear rating) but all four of my inside shoulders are worn down significantly more than the rest of the tire. . something like 5/32nds versus 0/32 on the inside. Last time I rotated them (every 5K) they weren't worn this much.

I had the car aligned last year and haven't been driving very aggressively so I am wondering if this is a symptom of the APSSS, alignment, or simply junk tires.

Now comes the choice between the Michelin PS2s, PS A/S Plus, or PSS either way, so at least I have something to look forward too!

Well, my thinking was the correction of the body roll would change the angle in which the tires "dug in" on corners since the suspension has less camber (because of less suspension deflection) on corners.

When I had my BMW 745li with a similar system I had read somewheres that it could cause strange wear on the tires, however, BMW usually puts a pretty large negative camber on their cars anyways.

I don't have APSSS but I experienced some pretty extreme inner wear. My car had Bridgestone Turanza EL42 RFTs (total junk...) and they were rotated every 5k miles. When I talked to my SA about it he said it was a normal trait of the GS and that I was lucky to have gotten the 32k miles I did get. Did some searching on here when I got home and others have complained about it so I guess I'll just live with it... I must say that I am LOVING my new Michelin Super Sports. I highly recommend them.

This is what you're talking about, yes?

the effect of apsss won't have that much of an effect to cause extensive inner wear. it's likely just from factory camber and toe setup

Lol yea seriously, it's been a long time ... GS is doing great, in service now for 45k oil service and pretty much no issues. Dealer is so awesome, changed my batt n brake pads under warranty. And almost time to get tires so came to this thread.

LOL! getting married soon and new life in CA, staying away from CL for a reason! no more money for car! hah

if OP is unhappy with the treadlife, just go to alignment shop and tell them no negative camber ... then u will sacrifice the handling alright..
