I think the fuse box is located on the drivers side under the hood, any idea which fuse it would be for this power adapter?

The owners manual should have a guide to which fuse operates which part. Also, when you open the fuse box, there is usually a guide inside the lid. If it is blown, start removing and replacing fuses until you find the one with the broken wire.

Also there is usually a second fuse box between the drivers door and dashboard on the side or under the dash.

It's fuse # 33 (15 amp) inside the fuse panel, under the steering wheel, on the drivers side, by your left knee.
