Default 20K miles Premium 2010 for $25 K ?

What do you guys think ? Is the HS worth jumping into at this point ? The car has been discontinued and I am really on the fence with the HS

I found a one owner car with park assist and the navigation system for $25K and it is tungsten pearl ( bright silver ? )

Is the premium worth getting ? What have your experience been ? I see them around but they are mostly high miles (60 K ) and the premium appears more rare . The HS has been in my sight for some time .

Chime in HS owners ?

TX

depends what you are looking for. I own the premium non-nav, and have gotten a base model as a loaner. to me, the biggest difference is the seats - the base leather felt stiff and cheap to me. Otherwise, the premium gives you stuff like rain sensing wipers, wood trim, ventilated front seats, and foot well lighting - not deal breakers IMO. The base model can be had with the sport suspension, which adds 18" wheels and 2-tone seats. The base model with 17" wheels rides a bit softer. rareness probably depends on locale - when I bought my 2010 new they had nothing but premiums on the lot. But I think I heard California members say they saw the opposite.

Either way, it's a good car. I wouldn't call it a great car, but it's nice and you don't see many on the road. I sometimes get the "prius treatment" where another driver feels the need to pass me (or pull out in front of me) because they can't stand to be behind a hybrid, even when I'm doing 15 over. It fits 4 people pretty comfortably, better than an IS but not as well as an ES, and cruises effortlessly well above legal highway speeds. It handles well but the hybrid system takes all the fun out of the gas pedal - tons of throttle lag and the pedal and engine feel totally disconnected from the wheels. There's no such thing as "darting through a hole in traffic" in this (or likely any other Toyota) hybrid.

The only mechanical problem I've had in 62k miles is an O2 sensor gone bad.

There's definitely a mark-down on pricing due to it being discontinued, but it shares the drivetrain with the Camry hybrid and it's still sold in Japan, so parts should not be an issue. It probably represents a great value in used luxury hybrids. I see others getting loaded 2010 HS's for $20K, but that might be in lower cost areas.

good luck!

The look has grown on me over the years . I want a low mileage HS and most of them have 60K + on them these days . I really like the HS but for 25K even a premium with 20K might be tough .

Decisions , decisions

Price is little high in my opinion....I just got 2011 with 35K for 21K its a base model with Navigation - so no ventilated seats or 18' tires or memory seats.

Might be a little high but if it has what you want then shoot them a few grand less and see what you get you won't find many with only 20k they are getting harder to find . I love our . Just for the heck of it we looked at the CT and ESh, thanking about trading for another Lexus but could not do it. The ES very very nice but couldn't give another 20k and my car and the CT was to little . We have the tech package and it's hard to find on others lexus

I would rather have a low mileage car then one with two or three times that for 5 k cheaper. Never can replace the miles once they are on it.

I was thinking of getting something new, but after checking everything out, I couldn't find anything that matches the HS.

3 years old now and not a single hiccup. Other than tires and oil, everthing is as new.

And to top it off, this week I am on the way to a record tank for miles per gallon. If all goes well, it'll be 17 days since I last filled up, and I should make .............44 mpg !!!!

That kinda sums up the quirky HS. No wonder the Japanese love them!

I am really on the fence . I think the seller might move to $24K . It is a Premium with the Navi package

Are you guys seeing many low mileage HS ? Very tempted to buy the car :0

Just got a 2010 premium with navi today for a bit over 23k. From everything else in the used car lot, there was nothing in that price range that came close in luxury, and fuel economy. It does look pretty bland when compared to the G37 coupe I traded for, but I welcome the extra creature comforts, and the nearly twice average gas mileage.

Just bought a 2011 Premium with Nav and 24,000 miles for $25,250.00. White and Parchment. I traded in my 2012 CT200h. I did this at a Mitsubishi dealer in Virginia.

The CT200h was an F-Sport Special Edition with the lowered F-Sport suspension and it rode very stiffly, almost like the 2008 MINI Cooper S I had previously. We use it for commuting with 2 and often 3 people. The load makes the suspension ride even worse and it bottoms out often on the bad roads here in Washington, DC. After 2.5 years we were tired of being jolted every time we hit bumps in the road. It was fun to drive if you were alone, very nimble. The car had 33,000 miles at trade in with new tires at 27,000.

I think you will really like the HS , I currently have an HS and CT and RXh . I feel like the HS is a better all around car with more options and more Lexus like stuff. Don't get me wrong I really like the CT but if I was to go on a long trip say 1000K I would drive the HS . I do like the CT seats HOWEVER the NON power seat on the passenger side could sit up a little higher . My HS has the TECH with HUD and LKA and other goodies LOVE IT.

Both have Michelin MXM tires . Let us know what you think between the two (CT and HS)
