Summer came at me fast. Trying hard to keep progress going, but yard work and family demand their due attention. Slow is better than full stop though. When there is something new to report, I'll post it here!

I remember you having trouble locating a salvaged HS250h for your project. Did you ever run across this website? I know nothing about it other than that it came up when I searched for one for you.

If anyone here actively rebuilds wrecked HS250h's and would be interested in partnering with me, they can get all of the parts from one that I DON'T need that are still good. (i.e.: doors, seats, air bags, glass, bumpers, hood, deck lid, exterior lighting.)
I need to retain all lower chassis structural, mechanical, electrical, controls/instrumentation/switches.and fuel system items.
I'll search more actively again after my family returns from vacation. I'll know what funds are still there afterward.

Hmmm... Coverdant tells me that their Plug-Out system won't work with the HS250h traction battery because it runs at a higher voltage than the Prius system. I checked the Emergency Responder's Guide for both cars and they are correct. Well...darn.
They tell me that their Plug-out module should be fine for the CT200 though.

Starting to have second thoughts. The Prius V wheelbase is only 3/8" longer than the Firebird. The speedometer connection is the same plug as the HS250h, although I don't know if the same signals are on the same wires. You might lose me to a Prius V since there are so many more of them out there. I'm wavering now...

Hate to see you go. Let us know.
What do you mean "more of them"?
More wrecked one? Or just more total?
I haven't seen a V in weeks, but I did see a HS the othe day. A white one. He didn't even wave back. Probable thought I gave him the one finger salute.
