HS vs RX
I went to look at a 2010 RX350 and also test drove a 2010 HS250 premium unplanned. I've been driving SUV's since 2003 so love the height. But finances are tight. The difference is RX $32.2k out the door but no HUD, side camera for curb assist or rain sensing wipers. The HS is $29.6k OTD and is premium package. The difference isn't much but that difference will pay my rent.
My heart wants the RX but my head says the HS.
I had no intention of a sedan but now I'm completely confused. The extra options on the HS can't be done on the RX after market.
I might take a few long drives (LA to Vegas and AZ) and I know the comfort of the RX. Not sure of the comfort of the HS on a long trip. But, that's a small issue.
I just need some advice or views. Any will be appreciated.
Thank you all ahead of time.

It all depends on your needs. If you will not be towing and don't use all the cargo capacity I would say the HS is a great choice. I live in Phoenix and have driven to Vegas a couple times. I get about 35-36MPG on that trip. I get 38 on my Phoenix to San Diego runs (more flat). The price seems a little high for the HS. Make sure you are paying very close to private party blue book for it. Mine has been problem free for 26,000 miles. It is VERY comfortable on long trips, but is a little prone to crosswinds as it is very flat-sided. The stereo is only average without the Levinson system, but definitely fine for passing the hours driving. I am trading mine in today on a Ford Edge Sport, but thats just because I bought an ATV and small trailer, but it has been a great car.
