Default Switchback LED turn signals (finally) installed!

This is a basic write up.... Most of you will get the gist.

Materials needed:

SwitchBack Amber/White LED 3157SRCK or CK (You can go regular but it will be far more difficult)

15 Feet of 16-18 gauge wire
(you know what wire looks like)

Micro fuse tap with lead and (2) 10 amp micro fuses

LED compatible turn signal relay to avoid hyperflash

install fuse tap in fuse box. I used fuse #25 PSU (It has switched (ON) power and is in the front of the box)

Run a wire to each front turn signal. I used the center rail to run the wire through so it would be mostly protected. (Notice the red wire on each side)

The turn signals are factory wired with two pins. Use the wire ran into the third hole.

Replace the relay. I don't have any pics. To find the relay turn on your hazard lights and shove your hand up the steering column between the brake pedal and the parking brake. You'll feel it clicking. Carefully remove the harness and install the new relay. (I left the OEM relay in there)

New LEDs running lights

With LED Parking lights

With HIDs

LED running lights (in garage for a darker pic)

Not sure I trust myself with electronics, but may have to give this a shot. Looks really good. So now your DRL are the LED, correct?

I technically made alternative running lights... I turned off the regular DRL's in the nav menus...

Next time you're in Las Vegas, let me know. May end up hitting up a local that knows what they're doing with electrical to give me a hand.

Thanks,

Ryan

Assume you didn't have to remove the headlight or bumper?

Do you have links of where to buy everything? Also, what hid kit are you running?

Wow! Nice job I really like how you did a combo of the white/orange! Did you replace the Front just the front's? If so I take it the relay is fine mixing both? I'm thinking of doing the change too, but I want to go full LED including the rears, and mirrors too.

I just replaced the fronts... I may do the rears at some point.... (After I let me hands heal from doing that relay)

The relay doesn't care what combination of bulbs / leds you have.

So you have the LED, HIDs and what else? There are three "LED/HID" bulbs it appears.

Going full LED's is what I'm trying to do also.

The mirrors are tough. Use maximum caution and use the manual.

Plus it's hard to find a LED that puts out enough light to make an effective reverse light.

I had no idea the mirrors weren't LEDs and secondly there is no way I'd take apart the mirror to change it. I'd likely crack something.
