Clacking sound
Anyone else hear this? Not quite a "rattle" but every once in awhile, I hear this "clacking" sound coming from somewhere near the mouse. Over rough terrain I hear it -- like the mouse itself is loose. Can't seem to stop it by holding the mouse or applying pressure to the general area. Sounds like something is loose in the centre counsel. Anyone else hear this noise?

Couple of things it may be:
Sunglasses rattle around in the holder in the overhead console. If you have sunglasses in there, try removing them. Ask the dealer to put a little more padding in that holder the next time you're in for service.
The other thing that rattles every time is if you use the coin holder in the center console. They'll rattle every time you hit a bump. Use a coin purse or something else to hold coins that absorbs the noise.

Problem solved
Thought I'd update this posting in case someone down the line encounters the same weird noise I "was" hearing on my 250. Took the car in for its 8000 km oil change today and asked them if they could fix the rattle. They very astutely noted the rain sensor behind the review mirror was loose and "clacking" against the windshield.
Crazy thing is -- the sound always seemed to becoming from under the mouse or in the cd changer area of the counsel. I tried for 3 months to figure it out. But alas, it was the rain sensor above and the sound was simply carrying down towards the centre of the dash. Go figure!
Anyway, all is solved now and I ride in blissful silence.
fyi
