HS 250h: any actual owners out there? What's your real-world mileage been?
Are there any actual owners of the HS 250h out there? If so, I'm curious what your real-world mileage has been?

I am not an actual owner but I did have the HS250h for one week and put almost 1,500 miles on it...
I got over 34 MPG combined.

34 observed, 35 rated combined...seems pretty accurate.

33 mpg on a 20 mile commute during peak traffic time (stop and go at times). 35 mpg on the same stretch with normal traffic flow. Had the car for only a few days, so have only used it for the commute.

Cool. Thanks. Would love to hear more of your impressions of the car as you continue to explore its ins and outs....

Hard to tell with only 20 miles on it. I think my car's mileage improved after the first 250 miles. Not sure if the car improved or if my driving habit adjusted to the Hybrid. Reset your mpg and go on a long drive.

I've put a little over 600 miles on mine. 32 MPG combined. I easily get 35 MPG on the freeway; around town is a different story, but I tend to be a little heavy on the foot.

633 miles so far and averaging 36 MPG. It's cold in the morning here so it will be better in the summer for sure (was for the Prius). Keep it at 60 MPH on the freeway and it will return 40 MPG or better. ECO mode seems to switch off the engine a lot more. Just like the Prius, hit 70 MPH and the MPG drops noticeably.
It's difficult to say % highway/city but I would say about 50/50 at the moment. As always with any Toyota (Lexus), it's fairly easy to beat the EPA figures without too much effort.
I had a Prius for 30,000 miles so hybrids are not new to me. In the Prius, around 48 MPH was the sweat spot for the best MPG. In the HS 250h, it seems to be lower. More like 40 MPG. I am still experimenting.
And if anyone says 36 MPG is not that good, remind them that this is combined and on regular. I'm back to the Prius days when I cannot remember when or where I last filled up.

I love that.
I'm tired of reading reviews that talk about how the HS isn't worth it since you can get a Prius for $15,000 less and it gets better gas mileage. Totally misses the point.
It's like saying you can pay $80,000 for a Lexus LS or spend $40,000 less and get a Crown Victoria.
If Lexus had merely dressed up a Prius with better leather seats and a stereo, the same reviewers would be complaining it was just a gussied-up Prius with the same acceleration.

Next 100 Miles
OK - for the next 100 miles I am getting 31/32 MPG. I have a Touring Package HS - I think these are rather rare. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Deal
Oh and I got my HS250h Touring Package for $1000 above Dealer Inovice. When I was calling around/Internet inquiries on the Prius - the best I could get here in Los Angeles was $500 off MSRP. I really love my new car.

Hello there,
I'm a new member and have had my HS250h for about 1 month.
I live in DFW and have a 30 mile commute each way to work and have managed to get between 44 and 48 MPG. I have about 1300 miles on the vehicle. I have found the MPG in the vehicle to be 2 to 2.5 miles high from actual at fill up.
