The best mileage i've achieved was 40.1MPG. I have been averaging 34-35 on mainly highway and mixed city driving.

Just curious. I assume with that kind of mileage, your commute is mostly freeway?

My commute is about 2/3 urban (40mph speedlimit and lights about every mile) and 1/3 highway. I get the lowest mpg's on the highway portion of the commute.

I am getting about 33 mpg with a mix of city and highway (about 50-50 timewise, although many more miles of highway than city). I have seen up to 36 mpg on highway trips consisting mostly of limited-access (Interstate-type) roads. I have not sought to maximize mileage, have a moderately "heavy foot," and utilize the heater, sound system, navigation system, and various other premium features that add to the power drain.
