Nice! I have the red with tan. Maybe you can compare your two cars over time and tell us which gets the better overall mpg :-) Several of us here considered diesels before deciding on hybrid.

Default Had mine for awhile

I just found and signed up for the forums now.

I've had my 2012 HS 250H for about 7 months.

Navigation
Satin Cashmere Metallic / Tan

I work from home, but still put 700 miles on it every two weeks.

Hi all. Just bought a CPO 2010 HS250 premium, has all bells and whistles including tech package. Had only 12,092 miles on it. I was surprised that this car got discontinued as, personally, I love it. I agree not a very sexy looking car but it is a hybrid.
Went thru tons of reviews but this one http://m.autoblog.com/2009/05/26/fir...on-the-inside/ I felt is the best. I agree other reviews tried to compare this HS to other hybrids which aren't even in the same class. Anyway, hope this article helps those who might be contemplating purchasing one of these wonderful vehicles.
Lastly, hate how lots of reviews stated the mpgs weren't high enough. Well compared to regular cars I am totally looking forward to getting 35/mpgs.

We have a White that is fully loaded, Bought it in May 2011 with 30k from the dealer in South Atlanta, It now has 50k. It's the wife's car. She still works and I am Retired. The only real problem was with the drivers side seat that would only have problems when the temp reached 90+. It took them about a week to fix the problem. We have the 5 year 100lk warrenty.

Well folks I finally found a winner. Bought a 2010 Lexus HS 250h Premium. Here's the details:
Nav
Tech package
8K miles
Gray exterior
Black interior
Price: $27,483

Just couldn't resist the deal and the salesman drove it 200 miles to my location. It's a beauty!

Glad to be part of the group!

What do you mean the seat had problems?

Welcome to the forum Michelle38! I don't think we know the battery life for this particular battery yet, but early gen Prius batteries have been lasting 10+ years so far. Consumer Reports tested a ten year old Prius against the benchmarks it did when it was new, and found the battery had lost only about 15% of its power. So while there's no guarantees with any part beyond the warranty, I'm not expecting the battery to be an issue.

Question Hello everyone, glad to be here and this is my first post!

8/30/2014

Its very nice to have this forum, for answers, help are just chatting. I have a:

2010 LEXUS HS 250h
SMOKY GRANITE MICA
Navi, rear view camera, hybrid, Bluetooth.

I really love it. I just got the Lexus company to add me to their recall data base. I bought my Lexus in January of this year and already had it in once for a recall, rear end tie rod, and only because I heard about it; no letter/notice from anyone. Now there is a second recall for the same thing and still with no notice are letter. I am going just call my Lexus dealer and just take it in and see what happens. This is not only the best can I have every had, but the best of anything.

I do have a question and hope someone has bought one of these and even installed it. I am seriously thinking about buying a Dashcam like this one:

Blackvue DR750LW-2CH Full HD+Full HD 16GB Wi-Fi 4"LCD Touchscreen, Car Black Box/Car DVR Recorder - 16GB + External GPS

I can get this from Amazon.com. My only thing is not only do I not know how to install it but I need to know if it is safe. Will it burn out my fuse box and set my car on fire? Also, I live in Geneva IL and looking for a professional shop/dealership etc. to install it. Really need some advise guys and I know this is the place to go. Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

All the Best,
Luke

Default New to forum and Lexus in general

Just got me (the wife really) a used but kept like new 2010 HS 250h with 23xxx miles for less than 24k! Traded a 2008 Infiniti G37S coupe for it because I was tired of the 19 mpg average. So far we're still trying to figure the car out but so far it does feel like an upgrade from the Infiniti even though it's in another planet horsepower and driving experience wise.

The car was listed as a base model but upon closer inspection, it's definitely a premium. It has the 18's, nav, leather, memory seats, junk cooler (lol) floor lighting, and other options I'm sure I haven't discovered yet.

So far this is NOT a driver's car, it's just to cruise and enjoy the sub compact-like gas mileage. Wife is happy so that's what matters, and I'll be saving an average of 200+ bucks a month! I'm gonna miss the power and driving dynamics of the G, but more money in the bank is always sweeter!

Here's some pics!

And the one I broke up with.

It will be nice to drive around a rather invisible car, instead of being harassed by every ricer and cop on the road.
