Thanks for your owner impressions. I mainly use playlists on my iPod, as I also have around 3,000 or so songs...choosing playlists is what I experienced with the USB interface and it worked well there. Definitely the USB interface should be stable enough to avoid having to unplug/plug...at least the connection isn't buried deep in the center console box.
